Biographical Note:
Peter Feaver served as special advisor for strategic planning and institutional reform on the National Security Council from 2005 to 2007, where his responsibilities included national security strategy and other political-military issues. After earning his Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University in 1990, Dr. Feaver began his first stint of service on the National Security Council as director for defense policy and arms control (1993-94). In between these two periods of NSC assignments, and after his work in the George W. Bush administration, Dr. Feaver has served as a professor of political science and public policy at Duke University.
