The Transition
"The Transition" project features more than 700 documents produced by members of the National Security Council under George W. Bush as they handed off critical information to the incoming administration of Barack Obama in January 2009. These documents are presented as they originally appeared: a memo with attached supportive documentation. There are 40 total memos, each written by members of the National Security Council. These documents contain information regarding relations with Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. Additionally, there is are documents focused on international affairs and policy positions with a scope scope that goes beyond particular nations or regions.
As documentation becomes declassified this collection will grow. On "The Transition", you will find memos and documentation organized into one (or more) regional and topical categories.
