Biographical Note:

Frank Wolf served as a member of the House of Representatives from Virginia's tenth district, from 1981 to 2015. After multiple trips to the Green Zone in Iraq, Wolf became the first to propose the idea of what eventually became the Iraq Study Group (also known as the Baker-Hamilton Commission), a bipartisan panel appointed by the U.S. Congress in 2006 to asses the status and way forward for the U.S. in Iraq. Before serving in the U.S. Congress, Wolf spent approximately a decade in various positions in the federal government, including as a staff member and deputy assistant secretary in the U.S. Department of the Interior (1971-75).
