Biographical Note:
David J. Kramer served as the assistant secretary of state for democracy, human rights, and labor from 2008 to 2009. He also served as deputy assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs (2005-2008), as a member of the Department of State’s Policy Planning Staff (2003-2005), and as special advisor to the undersecretary of state for global affairs (2001-2003). Today, he is the Bradford M. Freeman Managing Director for Global Policy at the George W. Bush Institute.
