Biography

Heath Clayton navigates complex global organizations to create environments where people can connect, belong and grow. Over the last decade he has created partnerships and engaging experiences for audiences around the world to help them create social impact and reach their full potential. These initiatives have benefited military veterans, women, professional athletes, Native Americans, LGBTQ+ professionals and the diverse global workforces of both the largest professional services organization and the largest consumer bank. He also leverages his combination of government, policy, academic and human resources experience to implement systemic changes that go beyond the programmatic.

Heath began his career at The White House, where he worked in the offices of Strategic Initiatives and Presidential Correspondence for President George W. Bush. After the administration, Heath served in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Department of Energy before ultimately deciding to continue his career by making an impact in the private sector. These roles have included Global Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Chase brand of JPMorgan Chase, and Chief of Staff to the Chief Inclusion Officer and Head of Diversity and Inclusion Learning at Deloitte.

Earlier in his career Heath pioneered the use of corporate resources and volunteerism to drive community impact initiatives focusing on workforce development for underserved populations and served as a consulting leader for healthcare, human resources, and public sector finance engagements. Additionally, he is the Chair of the Board of two organizations, Texas Native Health, the Indian Health Service-funded system for Texas, providing free medical, education, and community services and Out for Undergrad, the world's largest LGBTQ2+ undergraduate non-profit.

Heath is an enrolled member of the Chickasaw Nation, and also serves as an Expert in Residence at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Public Policy and Management. He was honored to be a 2022 Presidential Leadership Scholar, working with former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush to advance career opportunities for Native American youth.
