Year I Joined the Office of Admission: 2019

Favorite thing about SMU: Our transfer students! They typically come to SMU with a strong sense of what they want to study and learn from our amazing faculty. They also come from diverse backgrounds and bring incredible experiences to campus, truly enriching student life here at SMU!

Favorite place on campus: Dallas Hall. In the fall of 1915, when SMU’s first opened, Dallas Hall was the center of the university, housing a bookstore, soda fountain, grill, and a barber shop, in addition to offices, classrooms, and the library. Now that campus has expanded, it is now home to the famous university seal, classrooms, and offices. And on a clear day you can see all of Dallas from the steps of the building!

Favorite place in Dallas: I love the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens! It is a beautiful place to visit any time of year!

What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: If you happen to visit in October I would highly recommend that you visit the State Fair of Texas, conveniently located in Fair Park just a short drive from campus. Outside of October, you can get an amazing appreciation of the Dallas Skyline by walking the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and after your walk, you can visit Trinity Groves our Restaurant Concept Incubator.
