Favorite thing about SMU: My favorite aspects of SMU are its people and community. During my time here as a student, I met some of my closest friends, and our bonds have remained strong long after graduation – I’ve even stood by three of them in their weddings! The close-knit, supportive environment at SMU fosters these lifelong connections.

Favorite place on campus: My favorite spot on campus is Dallas Hall lawn. There’s nothing quite like seeing students gathered on the lawn, studying, playing games or walking their dogs. It truly is a cheerful and vibrant place!

Favorite place in Dallas: It’s tough to choose just one, but I’d have to go with the Knox-Henderson area. It’s perfect for a beautiful Dallas Saturday. Start by grabbing a coffee or matcha at Berkley’s Market, then take a stroll along the iconic Katy Trail. For lunch, don’t miss Little Katana – order the hot stone bowl, and you’ll thank me later! Afterward, enjoy some shopping along the street.

Favorite restaurant near campus: The grilled chicken wrap from Dive Coastal Cuisine is unbeatable. Located in Snider Plaza, it’s just a quick walk from campus. My mom always requests it when she’s in town! Other favorites of mine include Honor Bar, Hudson House, Anchor Sushi, Loro and Las Palmas.

What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: Catch a sports game! Whether it’s SMU, the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers or the Dallas Stars, getting a group of friends together for a game is always a great time!
