Get Started

You can enable Turnitin as part of a new Canvas assignment. Turnitin is enabled on a per-assignment basis in Canvas. Turnitin uses your user role for authentication and uses your Canvas account to create and manage assignments.

Please Note: Reports may take 24 hours to process.

Similarity Report for your submitted file is usually created within 5 to 10 minutes of submission. That is for an average paper of 500 to 1000 words. Longer papers will take a little more time.

If you do not get a report back quickly be patient. During high volume times such as midterm or finals, heavy use can cause delays. Check the status on their X (formerly know as Twitter) feed or using the Turnitin Service Status page Please note that multiple submissions can cause Similarity Reports to take 24-hours to regenerate. During this time, you may not have access to the Similarity Report or the similarity index (percentage).
