SMU offers many different technology solutions and tools that are available to help faculty and students leverage appropriate resources for research. 


These include, but are not limited to, general use "genuse" compute systems, Linux hosting, databases, SMU-licensed software tools, and much more. The list below summarizes some of the research tools available at SMU. Virtual Applications: Apps.SMU

Apps.SMU provides access to a variety of applications within a virtualized environment. Authorized individuals can login via a web browser, or into Citrix Receiver and then launch approved applications. When launched, an application runs in the SMU private cloud, but looks and feels as though it is running locally on your device.

Statistical Consulting & Analysis (Dedman College)

The SMU Statistical Consulting Center assists scholars, businesses, and organizations by applying statistical expertise to a variety of data analytics projects.
