Faculty and staff can now easily manage and submit course materials adoptions each term. AIP, Barnes & Noble College Adoption and Insights Portal, delivers a highly personalized, streamlined, and action-oriented user experience for faculty, staff, administrators, and academic leadership.

Get Started

The Barnes and Noble College Adoption and Insights Portal (AIP) enables faculty and staff to easily manage and submit textbook/course materials adoptions each term.

  1. Log in to the Barnes and Noble College AIP with your SMU ID and password.
  2. Faculty can re-adopt from past course adoptions, be guided through the adoption process with easily searchable databases, build course packets for non-textbook resources, or simply indicate that materials for a particular course will not be used.
  3. Faculty can also discover affordable alternatives to traditional course materials like Open Educational Resources (OER).
