Owen Phillip Reid

Owen Phillip Reid, born and raised in western Oklahoma, is working toward his Performer’s Diploma at SMU where he studies organ performance with Professor Stefan Engels. He received a Master of Music degree from the University of Cambridge (St. John’s College), where he worked with many of England’s finest choral conductors. In Cambridge, he served as the graduate organ scholar at St. Catharine’s College, working with the mixed-voice College Choir as well as the St. Catharine’s Girls’ Choir, the first school-aged girls’ choir in Cambridge. Owen received a Bachelor of Music and Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he studied organ with Professor Nathan Laube as well as harpsichord and improvisation with Professor Edoardo Bellotti. Owen currently serves as the Lloyd Cast Organ Fellow at the Cathedral of All Saints in Albany, New York, working with the Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys, the oldest continuously performing choir of its kind in the country.
