    serving the Vietnamese speaking community in the area.


    Overview
    Pastor Tom is unable to meet the needs of his congregation on his own, and so is
    looking for a young intern who can partner alongside him to serve. The intern will be
    given discipleship and ministry opportunities and experience through this role.


    Requirements
    ● Fluent in English and Vietnamese
    ● Able to preach and teach boldly
    ● Able to lead worship
    ● A heart for the lost and a passion for local church ministry
    ● A commitment to the gospel and the authority of the word of God
    ● Active learner and self-starter


    Responsibilities include but are not limited to
    ● Participate in Sunday morning operations
    ● Attend staff meetings

  • Youth Ministry (Part-time)

    The Director of Youth Ministry will oversee ministries for youth, 7 -12th grade, developing a schedule of programs that foster faith development, impactful service and transformative social activities.

    The Director shall be a person of genuine and deepening Christian character who is willing to grow as a loyal, communicative participant of a ministry team cultivating trust with staff and congregants.

    In addition to building commitment and trust with parents as a resource, The Director will be responsible for recruiting, training, equipping volunteers to serve within a Spirit-led program of mission and ministry opportunities.

    The Director will join an enthusiastic Youth Council and congregation already committed to youth and their families.

    Time
    The Youth Director will be required to keep a weekly work log and communicate their weekly schedule.  

    Sunday mornings (4 hours)•    Sunday afternoons/evenings (3 hours)
    Wednesday evenings (3 hours)
    Weekly staff meetings (11/2 hour)
    Additional hours per week for office planning, community involvement, and relationship building

    In addition, the Director will be expected to plan, lead, and attend summer youthministry events, trips, and activities

    Responsibilities

    •    Complete MinistrySafe training.
    •    Recruit, train, equip, develop, schedule, and empower volunteers in accordance with MinistrySafe guidelines.
    •    Monitor class size as related to the classroom space and number of adult volunteers to comply with MinistrySafe standards.
    •    Serve as the youth ministry liaison for worship service participation and involvement.
    •    Communication and publicize all youth programs.
    •    Oversee the teaching programs for Youth Sunday School on Sunday mornings and Youth Group on Sunday nights.
    •    Implement a program for ongoing youth small groups. Example: Wednesday night Bible study, gatherings at different youth family homes for devotions and fun activities during the summer.
    •    Turn in the attendance of the Youth Sunday School class and Youth Group to the office weekly.
    •    Assist with the development and maintenance of yearly Youth Ministry budget.
    •    Work with the Youth Council to create and maintain annual calendar of activities including mission outings, trips, fun outings, and other youth fellowship gatherings.
    •    Plan, lead and coordinate all mission trips (secure proper chaperones)
    •    Prioritize the overall safety of our young people through responsible action. If you are transporting the young people of the church as a driver, no cell phone use while driving, hands free calling, texting or navigation.
    •    Other duties as deemed necessary.

     

    Qualification Requirements

    •    Bachelor degree preferred and some experience working with youth in a church or school setting.
    •    Biblically grounded in their faith as a follower of Jesus Christ.
    •     Ability to help volunteers across generations find ways to use their spiritual gifts with young people.

    High School graduate and professional experience working with children in a church or school setting.

    Cares deeply for mentoring children's spiritual journeys.

    •    Candidate must possess qualities/characteristics of:
    •    Excellent communication in both verbal and written form.
    •    Leadership - able to lead others, whether children, volunteers, staff , etc.
    •    Positive and a affirming attitude. Is a self-starter and project manager.
    •    Organized and demonstrates common sense
    •    Must be able to keep confidentiality and present one's self professionally at all times.
    •    Computer proficient in Microsoft Office.
    •    Comfortable using social media as a communications and outreach tool.

    We are seeking a second nursery worker for Sunday morning. Hours are 8:30 to roughly 11:45 with rare extensions due to congregational meetings. Pay is $12/hr. We are a church dedicated to having two paid and background checked adults in the nursery even if there is no one there. You will watch the pastor's children (4 and 7) starting at 8:30 until they go to Sunday School at 9:30. Then you are available should any parents need you. While there are no babies/children in the room with you, you may be on your phone or read a book.

    • Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor and other leaders as needed to nurture communication, learning opportunities, and collaboration.
    • Remain open and alert to possibilities for experiential learning and leadership in all areas of congregational ministry, not limited to pastoral care, outreach, justice, faith formation, worship, etc.
