Tutor Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of B+ in course or related coursework tutored
• Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with individuals from a diverse background
• Fluent in English

Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Build rapport with each student and foster a welcoming learning environment for each student-athletes' individual needs
• Comprehend and effectively communicate subject-specific content to student-athletes in designated courses
• Plan and implement effective learning strategies for various types of learners
• Identify individual student academic needs and address areas for study skill development
• Utilize listening and questioning strategies to determine and monitor student progression throughout the semester
• Maintain professionalism at all times
• Ability to be reliable and punctual
