Biography
Kasi Periyasamy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. His research interests are in software engineering, in particular, formal methods applied to software development, software testing, software tools customized to support software development and data science. He is the co-author of the book Specification of Software Systems published by Springer-Verlag (first edition in 1998 and the second edition in 2011). He had a number of publications in international conferences and journals and had been invited as keynote speaker in some of the conferences. Recently, he has been working on several healthcare projects using Data Science techniques and Software Engineering principles.
Kasi Periyasamy was a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse (UWL) for 24 years. He created and served as the Program Director for the Master of Software Engineering (MSE) program at UWL. Before that, he also served as a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada for eight years.
