The hands-on experience I got making games at the Guildhall allowed me to be productive and valuable to my company immediately upon my hiring.
What advice would you offer for students looking to get into gaming?
Start by building levels, models, or whole games on your own. Your early projects don't have to be perfect, but learning how games are put together from personal experience will give you invaluable knowledge. Learn from your mistakes and don't get discouraged. Never stop trying.
