Vernadskiy National UniversityMariya Dzhyoyeva holds a Ph.D. in Modern and Contemporary Hispanic Literatures and Cultures from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in Russian Linguistics from Tavricheskiy V.I. Vernadskiy National University. Her research interests include gender representations in post-Boom Argentine literature, Soviet and Russian influences in Communist Cuba, and media discourse in authoritarian states. Her teaching interests encompass language for professional purposes, film and cultural studies, literary analysis, and the adaptation of online games for in-person classrooms.
