Biography
Elizabeth Jimenez is the Managing Director of Business Development for the Executive Education Department at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Cox School of Business. She leads strategic growth, cultivates corporate partnerships, and oversees the development of open enrollment and custom executive programs designed to meet the needs of diverse clients.
Elizabeth’s career began in the hospitality industry, where she held director positions at hotels and gained 17 years of experience in operations, catering, events, and group sales. In 2018, she transitioned to the education sector, joining SMU as Associate Director of Client Engagement. In this role, she drove program development and managed all operational aspects of executive education programs, ensuring seamless execution and enhanced participant experiences.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations with a minor in Religious Studies from Florida International University and earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from SMU Cox.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys working with wood and creating customized pet and home decor products. She is also actively involved in volunteering with nonprofit organizations and her church, reflecting her strong commitment to community service.
