All courses are completely online through a Learning Management System (LMS) called Headlamp. You never will be required to attend class on campus, and you can complete your coursework and assignments from anywhere on your own time.

Most courses require a basic level of computer skills, including the ability to send and receive email, as well as conduct research on the Internet. You should be comfortable using technology and have some foundation in design elements and principles.

You must have a computer and a webcam.

Yes, all students taking online courses must have an email account. Email accounts may be obtained by signing up for a free account through a free internet service provider, such as Gmail, Mail.com, Yahoo! Mail or Outlook.com.

Once you have completed your program, a Certificate of Completion will be issued from SMU. The full program must be completed to earn the certificate.

Depending on the issue, students may reach out to the Headlamp LMS team or SMU staff. More information regarding technical help will be provided upon registration.

Anyone is welcome to register for our online courses. Courses are conducted in English.

Headlamp is a learning management system (LMS) that offers CAPE students a password-protected virtual classroom to interact with the course material and submit assignments. Feedback on all submitted materials will be provided inside the Headlamp platform.
