Data ScienceThe Office of Information Technology’s Research Technology Services team provides dedicated consultative and project resources for research and teaching involving data science tools and practices across disciplines.

By partnering with faculty and students, our data scientists:

  • advise and collaborate on choosing appropriate data, applying quantitative research methods, analyzing data, and visualizing data
  • help faculty and students design experiments, wrangle data, and apply new methods to derive insights from their data
  • utilize expertise in machine learning, informatics, data exploration, databases, data management, and software engineering to advance research goals
  • assist faculty with describing methods and results for co-authored publications

Data Science

The team provides support for a wide array of technology tools including: Python, JupyterLab, R, R Studio, and limited support for other languages and applications.

Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

The team utilizes expertise in A.I. and Machine Learning to help faculty and students build, train, and leverage models to advance research goals.

Generative AI

Generative AI

Data Visualization

The team provides support for a wide array of visualization tools including: Python, R, R Shiny, Quarto, CSS/JavaScript and limited support for Tableau, Dash, and other tools.
