Overview
The Response to Intervention (RtI) Guidance App & Website Project is designed to reflect current best practices for both practitioners and school leaders to meet the academic and behavior needs of all students. This project revised the Texas Education Agency’s current RtI Guidance Document with the latest evidence-based practices as well as a common skill set and language to use during the implementation, identification, and intervention phases of the RtI process. The comprehensive guidance information is disseminated through a mobile application and website.

Purpose
The purpose of the Response to Intervention (RtI) Guidance App & Website is to provide an updated version of the state of Texas current framework for understanding and implementing the RtI process, providing a common skill set and language for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and implementation. This version includes guidelines for both teachers and administrators, and includes differentiation across special populations in Students with Disabilities, English Language Learners, and Gifted & Talented.
Outcomes
We anticipate that use of the RtI Guidance App & Website and the accompanying professional development modules will support teachers’ and leaders’ instructional decision making within an RtI framework. The intended outcome is to increase awareness, coherence, and coordination of RtI principles for Texas educators.
