Margaret Pyffer

Margaret serves as a research associate at Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in History from Texas State University and a M.Ed in Education from SMU. She completed the requirements of Academic Language Therapy Association through SMU's Learning Therapy Specialization Program and is a Certified Academic Language Practitioner. After obtaining her M.Ed, she received a post graduate certificate from Johns Hopkins University School of Education in Mind, Brain, and Teaching. As a former kindergarten teacher, Margaret continues to find ways to support early childhood literacy through her involvement as an interventionist in research projects (e.g., Passport to Literacy, Mindset, GROW) that are funded by NIH and IES grants.
