Annette Gonzales Taylor

Annette Gonzales Taylor is the Director of External Affairs and Outreach. In that role, she is responsible for advancing the mission of the Simmons School of Education and Human Development through print, broadcast and digital media. Her duties include increasing the visibility of Simmons, its programs and faculty research, maintaining relationships with community and media organizations, and assisting the Dean with special projects.

A native of Corsicana, Texas, Annette had a lengthy career in broadcast news as an anchor and reporter and worked at several TV stations in Texas with her last stop in Houston. She transitioned to Public Relations/Communications and served as the Director of Communications at major organizations in Houston and Dallas before coming to SMU.
