About
Monica Ramirez is an APL Coach for Southern Methodist University’s Center on Research and Evaluation (CORE). She has over 20 years of experience working in the field of coaching early elementary teachers. As a former director in Dallas ISD for the Early Learning Department she oversaw the coaching program and led the implementation of the School Readiness Integration community partnership work for the district. She thrives to support teacher development to promote and impact student growth, collaboration, and most of all a sense of joy for learning. Monica earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science in Reading degree from Texas A&M Commerce. She also holds a Master Reading Teacher Certification and has completed the requirements for the Texas State Reading Academy Certification.
