About
Harvey Luna is Operations Manager at the Center on Research and Evaluation (CORE) at Southern Methodist University. Though his experience comes from across multiple disciplines, he strives to structure programs and projects in a way that is efficient, data-driven, and inclusive of partnership interests.
Before joining CORE, he was part of the Center for Global Health Impact, where his experience involved coordinating with the George W. Bush Institute, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Foundation, World Health Organization, and the Zambian Ministry of Health as part of an international collaboration on cervical cancer solutions.
As Project Manager at CORE, Harvey is primarily involved in international teacher professional development as part of the Galápagos project, a multi-year evaluation. In this capacity, Harvey coordinates with the Galapagos Conservancy and the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education to realize evaluation and data collection efforts for the project involving over 300 teachers and school administrators, subject-specific experts, and other stakeholders.
Harvey is passionate about data analytics, public policy, team development, and organizational design. He is also interested in data-driven approaches that informs program evaluation and mixed methods research design.
Harvey obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Science in Economics with Financial Applications from Southern Methodist University.
