Sponsored Research and Development

Through these contracts faculty and students will work on projects agreed upon between funding agency/company (Agency) and the Center. The work will be clearly defined in the form of a proposal to the Agency from the Center and the intellectual properties resulting from the project are co-owned by the University and the Agency as per the contract. Unless exclusively stated in the contract otherwise, faculty, students, and representatives from the Agency are allowed to publish results from the project in conference proceedings and journals. Sponsored Research projects performed at the Center will be administered as sponsored research through the University's Office of Research and Graduate Studies. Center will be soliciting external research grants for new projects from industry sponsors, and other funding agencies such as NSF, DARPA, SPAWAR, NIST, and DoD.
