Hours

We're flexible to serve our community.

Our hours of operation change based on the time of the academic year. We work to meet the demands for our testing services and programs. Not familiar with SMU's academic calendar? Learn more about where we are in the academic year on the Registrar's website.

Find out when we're open to serve you. Also, please note our inclement weather practice.

Weather and unanticipated closures

The weather just can't seem to make up its mind, especially in Texas, but we also know life happens.

During situations of inclement weather, national holidays, campus scheduled holidays (such as Spring Break or Winter Break) or other campus closings, the University Testing Center will be closed. Other instances for closure may include staff training, proctor illness or emergencies such as electrical outages or server failure.

If the University Testing Center must close on days when exams are scheduled, our staff contact testers by phone and/or email to advise them of testing appointment cancellations. We will also help them reschedule for their tests on a different date, if possible, at that time.

Please monitor SMU Aware for more details on inclement weather, emergencies, and changes to university operations.
