Oklahoma Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church

Awarded annually to a full-time student from the Oklahoma Annual Conference enrolling or currently attending any United Methodist —college, university, graduate school or seminary.

One scholarship in the amount of $600 will be awarded each year ($300 per semester, paid directly to the
college/university upon verification of enrollment). Read through the application carefully. The application
must be completed thoroughly and all requested items provided for your application to be considered. Use the
area to the left of each item as a checklist to ensure you have enclosed all necessary items to be considered for
this scholarship opportunity.

From the pastor and/or the chairperson of Higher Education and Ministry in your congregation:

• A letter of nomination and recommendation

From the student:

• Resume: a description of the student’s involvement in church, school, community, or other organizations.
• Essay: one-page, outlining his/her career goals as they are currently perceived.
• Transcript: to include current GPA from high school and/or college (whichever applies).
