Bench dedicated to fallen SMU police officer Mark McCullers

The SMU community dedicated a memorial bench in memory of SMU Police Officer Mark McCullers on Feb. 16, 2017. The bench is in front of Patterson Hall, where the SMU Police Department is located.

Officer McCullers died July 5, 2016, after being swept away by floodwaters while working off-duty as a private security guard at a Highland Park construction site. He had served as a member of the SMU Police Department Patrol Division since February 2015.
