Robust Optimization in portfolio management

What is something cool about your field?
The way to deal with the problems in high uncertainty environment. This makes mathematical models quite realistic.

What is the best thing you've done as a graduate student at SMU so far?
Being teaching assistant during my first year at SMU was one of my pleasures which gave me the opportunity to get familiar with a lot of undergraduate students. Their respectful behavior and energetic vibes created an incredible experience.

What is your favorite thing to do in Dallas?
I love checking out the Dallas restaurants especially the barbecue ones.   

What do you wish you'd known before starting graduate schools?
Everything does not go smooth as you expect in your research. You might spend a great deal of time only to reach a dead-end, but at some point, that experience will benefit you. 

What is your favorite leisure activity?
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, eating out, and gatherings.
