Specializing in technical direction, Justin Mosher joins SMU after being an assistant professor of theatre at Brevard College, where he taught courses ranging from Theatre History to Scenic Design. Mosher attended graduate school at the University of Alabama. Prior to that, he worked at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he was the technical director of Mitchell Hall Theater and assistant technical director and shop foreman for the theatre department. During this time, he worked with Christopher Titus, Broadway Tonight Presents Jimmy Webb, KT Sullivan in Colored Lights, Gregg Edelman in Broadway State of Mind, Hal Holbrook in Mark Twain Tonight, Savion Glover in SoLo in TiMe, Liz Callaway and The Young Voices of Edmond, Pilobolus, Broadway’s “Phantom” Franc D’Ambrosio, and Judy Kuhn and the Young Voices of Edmond. For several summers he also worked at Brevard Music Center as the assistant production manager of opera. He is an active member of Southeastern Theatre Conference and a member of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology. Mosher is originally from Terrell, Texas, and holds an Associate of Science degree from Panola College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance from Baylor University, and a Master of Fine Arts in theatre with an emphasis in technical direction from the University of Alabama.
