Tami Fowler retired from AT&T in 2013 after 22 years leading worldwide project teams building the internal AT&T telecommunications network infrastructure. She also led merger and acquisition teams including but not limited to the post-sale merger of Pacific Bell, Ameritech, Bell South and Southern New England Telephone Companies into AT&T.
After a brief time off, realizing she wasn’t good at retirement, Fowler went on to start a second career, this time in the field of higher education. She accepted the role of director of finance and operations for Redeemer Seminary in Dallas. It was at this job that she discovered her love of working with students and faculty. Unfortunately, Redeemer ended operations in December 2016.
Fowler left Redeemer and took a year-long contract with a hazardous materials start-up, helping them get their operations off the ground.
In July 2018 she accepted the position of senior program specialist with the Temerlin Advertising Institute. While the position touches all parts of the institute, she says the best part of her job is acting as the advisor for all of the advertising majors.
Fowler holds a bachelor of arts from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The Fowler family includes four huge dogs and four grown children.
