Biography

Jennifer Shoemaker has more than 15 years of experience in education, holding a variety of roles in both K-12 and higher education. Prior to SMU, Jennifer worked at Texas A&M University and provided student support, and educational and community engagement programming through residence life and campus-wide events. She arrived at SMU in 2018 providing support in donor stewardship, event planning, and prospect management for the development office at SMU Meadows School of the Arts. Becoming the executive assistant to the dean of Meadows in 2022, Jennifer continues to provide exemplary support and office management for the Dean’s office, overseeing the Meadows Executive Board and external relations.
