The University has established an Emergency Management Plan. Students should review this plan and be aware of the actions they should take in the case of an emergency. The SMU Police Department is on duty 24-7, and senior command-level officers are experience former military officers with emergency training. All officers are licensed and certified by the state of Texas and have full police authority. The SMU Police can be reached at 214-768-3333.
