Regional Specializations
International Studies majors are able to specialize in a particular geographical region, defined by a common historical and cultural experience. Students may choose to specialize in Asian, Latin American, European, or Africa/Middle East Studies. A total of 15 hours must be taken in the student’s area of Regional Specialization. Three courses from Group 1 and two courses from Group 2 are recommended. Students who wish to deviate from this recommendation should consult with the Advisor for International Studies. No more than two courses may be double counted towards this major and any other minor or major.
