Dr. Joel Philo is the Director of People Insights at Albertsons Companies, a 290,000 person grocery retailer. His work focuses on bringing science and technology into talent processes and in serving as the leader for delivering people insights and promoting evidence based HR at Albertson’s Companies. Prior to joining Albertsons, he was a Principal Behavioral Scientist at Koch’s Infor Talent Science division. He also has worked in H.R., business insights and marketing across a variety of companies, including JCPenney, PepsiCo, and The Home Depot. He got his PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2004. His focus is on bridging the science-practitioner gap to operationalize scientific best practices and deliver practical value to organizations.
