Edgar Velázquez Reynald grew up in the Chicagoland area, surrounded by a community of Mexican immigrants, which helped him embrace his heritage and culture. He has worked on several independent films with Parkside Films, LLC. in various positions, including producer, writer, editor, and production designer. His film projects have screened at various film festivals, including the Chicago International Film Festival and the San Antonio Film Festival. His work in the Public History program at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio led to wonderful opportunities as a fellow for the Smithsonian’s Latino Museum Studies Program.
