Joy Morrow

My research focuses on the British novel throughout the long nineteenth century and adaptation theory. I am interested in shifting ideologies in various reinterpretations of texts. I have written on period dramas, like Bridgerton and Downton Abbey; the evolution of character portrayals throughout Alice in Wonderland films and media that features Queen Victoria. My dissertation focuses on the nineteenth century novel functions as a cultural object today through various mediums.
