Jacob Rubin’s novel The Poser was published by Viking in 2015. The Washington Post called it “masterful,” and Kevin Brockmeier in the New York Times Book Review praised the novel for being “smart and absorbing … probing, witty.” Rubin’s writing has appeared in New York, Slate, www.newyorker.com, n+1, and the anthology Best New American Voices, among other publications. He has also written for television and film.
