Cathy Chickering Pace is a Project Specialist in the SMU Geothermal Laboratory in Dallas, Texas, where she primarily focuses on project management of the Lab's sponsored research from both government and private industry. She also assists in the coordination of the SMU Node of the National Geothermal Data System and in SMU's international conference, Power Plays: Geothermal Energy in Oil and Gas Fields.  In addition to using geothermal energy as a means to extend the life cycle of oil or gas operations, interests also include exploring use of geothermal energy as a means to provide clean water to communities.   Cathy has also worked for Ford Motor Company and spent over 9 years with IBM as an Advisory Marketing Representative specialized in wide area networking, computer and network outsourcing, and electronic data interchange.  Cathy has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
