Big Interview - Big Interview is an advanced interview preparation platform used alongside career coach training that provides SMU Cox students with a proven, step-by-step curriculum of expert video lessons with an artificial Intelligence based virtual practice interview tool to help students perfect their interview skills to land their target internship or job.

Career Leader - Cox students have access to take this research based business-related career development assessment to help them define their business relevant interests, skills and motivators. The platform matches an individual to specific business-related careers and helps the user understand what organization cultures will be the best fit for them. This platform may be utilized in consultation with a student’s career coach.

CareerShift - Recognizing the need for more systematic, effective tools for online job hunters, CareerShift was created to help job seekers successfully navigate the published and hidden job market to find career opportunities and networking contact information.

Interstride - Interstride is a one-stop-shop portal that provides international students with all the resources they need to transition and thrive in their education journey abroad. Utilized by top universities across the U.S., Interstride offers access to global career opportunities, Visa and immigration support, curated culture specific student training resources, a networking and mentorship tool and webinars and workshops to help international students progress in their job search.

Vault- Vault is an exceptional all-inclusive career platform that provides in-depth intelligence on what’s it like to work within an industry, company or profession and provides students access to information on how to launch and build their ideal career.

 

Vmock - Vmock is a state-of-the-art resume building platform using artificial intelligence. Cox students have access to this platform exclusively at SMU and will work to optimize their resume in the Cox format in consultation with their career coach.

Management Consulted - A premier consulting training platform to prepare students for consulting recruitment and careers

Wall Street Prep - Students have access to instructor-led boot camps to prepare for the demands of investment banking and corporate finance

MS Specific Resource:

Careernomics - Careernomics.com is offered exclusively to Cox School of Business Masters program students. It is an integrated career platform focused specifically on careers for business master’s programs. The platform provides a job search tool for master level jobs, leadership development programs, online events, and country guides.

MBA Specific Resource:

MBA Exchange - MBA Exchange is an MBA specific resource that brings recruiting market data and intelligence to empower MBAs to connect to their next destination. It filters MBA jobs, worldwide, leadership development programs and provides information on employers across industries and geographies. The platform showcases online events and MBA competitions, rankings and relevant MBA related reports.




Mentor Programs

BBA Mentor Alliance

This rewarding 10-month program connects alumni/friends of SMU with BBA of student(s) and is designed to empower professionals and students alike by establishing and cultivating long-term professional relationships.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all our business majors are eligible to join the BBA Mentor Alliance Program. Program applications open in April and mentors/mentees are matched in early August.

Masters of Science Career Advisory Board (MSCAB)


This rewarding 9-month program connects alumni/friends of SMU with SMU Cox MS student(s) and is designed to empower professionals and students alike by establishing and cultivating long-term professional relationships. Masters students from all our one-year master’s programs (MSA, MSF, MSM, and MSBA) are eligible to join the MS Career Advisory Board and Advisors will be matched with an Advisee(s) in early August.
