Caruth Institute For Entrepreneurship
Since its founding more than three decades ago, the Caruth Institute has continuously developed innovative courses and programs to help individuals keep pace with the dynamic, rapidly changing field of entrepreneurship. The Institute currently offers more than 18 custom-designed courses to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to launch and manage successful entrepreneurial ventures. The Caruth Institute forms the academic-focused side of the Cox Innovation Triad, teaching students about how to begin an entrepreneurial journey.

Hart Institute Of Technology, Innovation, And Entrepreneurship
Given generously by the Hart family, this Institute will serve the Cox School community as a bedrock of innovation. The Institute will nurture students who have a curiosity to make an impact in the world, guiding them through the process: starting with a seed of an idea all the way to launch. The Hart Institute forms another third of the Cox Innovation Triad, building an incredible bridge of innovation between SMU's engineering school and the Cox School.

The William S. Spears Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership enhances the business ventures of SMU students and faculty and the wider region, supports the academic and professional pursuits of students and faculty, and brings to North Texas Expertise in the areas critical to the growth and development of the Dallas business community. The Spears Institute forms the newest third of the Cox Innovation Triad, providing gateways to market for our students and the campus-wide community.

Maribeth Kuenzi
Associate Professor of Management, Merriman Family Foundation Endowed Professor
Dr. Kuenzi, an endowed professor at the Cox School, focuses research on ethical leadership and organizational behavior. For Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship department courses, her work rings true in the classroom: her curriculum lends itself toward the study of goal-oriented leadership behavior, organizational approaches, and recognizing the impact of employee predilections.
