Records & Reports

The SMU Police Department maintains the Daily Crime and Fire Logs which contains summaries of reports filed by the Police Department at each campus. The daily residential housing fire log is provided in accordance with provisions set out under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Higher Education Opportunity Act.

The Daily Crime and Fire Log for the last 60 days is open to public inspection, upon request, during normal business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) at the SMU Police Department. Any other portion of the log older than 60 days will be made available for public inspection within two business days upon request.
