Landing page with News Event Highlight

January 30, 2 p.m. At vero eos et accusamus et iusto odio dignissimos ducimus qui blanditiis praesentium voluptatum deleniti atque corrupti quos dolores et quas molestias excepturi sint occaecati cupiditate non provident.

Overview

Use the news/event highlight feature to highlight an event or story. Captions, categories, and call-to-action buttons are optional. Several alignment options are available. The centered option can be added to a narrow or wide page section; the left / right alignment option should only be added to a full-width section.

This feature may also be used as a landing page header.

Usage guidelines

  • Keep the title and description concise.
  • Add event date and location information in the description field.
  • Use images without embedded text, and keep image width to 800 pixels maximum.
  • Use descriptive link text. Avoid linking phrases such as "read more" or "learn more."
  • When using as a page header, add it to a departmental landing page or a wide page without side menu option. Extra steps may be necessary to remove the default page title and breadcrumb options.
