David Tylicki, Senior Learning Specialist

David Tylicki is the senior learning specialist at Disability Accommodations and Success Strategies (DASS). He earned a Master of Science in professional counseling from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tulane University. He has worked in higher education with students with disabilities since 1998, serving at Georgia State, Tulane University, and the University of California, Santa Cruz, in roles including tutor coordinator, testing coordinator, accommodations coordinator, learning disabilities specialist and manager. He joined SMU in 2012 and began teaching a specialized section of UNIV 1210 for neurodivergent students in 2013.

Outside of SMU, David enjoys the arts, creative writing, tabletop gaming, and spending time with his family, including his spouse and three unruly but loving beagles.
