  • Guest Apartment near SMU with reduced rate for assistance

    We are looking for someone to live in our mom’s guest apt (private entrance - private bath. Fully furnished.  Very near smu, pool, restaurants 3 blocks away).

    In exchange for significantly reduced rent (rent To be determined but it will be very fair), person will serve as warm, honest, caring caretaking help, driving/ errands/ getting groceries (store is walking distance) some light chores (like taking out trash/ maybe a few dishes or unloading dishwasher)  and help with meals (bringing over breakfast and dinner from her favorite places)  and good warm hearted company for her - mostly in evenings 6-830ish. also some weekend help as needed.

    10-12  hours per week of help.  

    We will write out everything in an agreement with the RIGHT person what responsibilities are. But this is a great opportunity for a good natured phd student - esp chaplain studies.  Or someone with caretaking background

    3-6 months to start. With longer term for proven record of great help for her.


    Small kitchenette but no cooking allowed other than microwave.  No pets

    The house is located in Casa View. It is 3 bedroom, 2 bath. The third bedroom is a guest/office space that is also open for your use or your guests if desired. The bedroom is pretty much your own private bathroom, you just have to share it and keep it clean for guests. Rent is $1000 including utilities and internet. Pets are welcome (no pet rent) but they have to get along with my pets. Huge backyard too! Very close to the lake so very scenic and only a 20min drive from campus.

    Our home is on Swiss Avenue, 3 miles from SMU. I am looking for someone(s) to help with the care of our daughters, ages 15 and 9, in exchange for the room and board. Responsibilities would include rides to/from school and after school activities, light cleaning, laundry folding and cooking several meals per week. We have a dog and multiple cats.

    We have space sufficient for a couple or possible a small family. There is a kitchenette. Additionally, use of the kitchen, washer and dryer are included.
