His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to Visit Dallas
Tickets for “A Conversation with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama” on July 1 now available.
On July 1, 2015, SMU and the George W. Bush Presidential Center, in conjunction with the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, will present “A Conversation with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.” Tickets for the event go on sale Monday, May 18, at Ticketmaster.
The visit of His Holiness to Dallas will be just days before his 80th birthday on July 6 – a birthdate that he shares with President George W. Bush. The Dalai Lama last visited Dallas and the SMU campus on May 8 and 9, 2011. During that visit, he sat for an interview for the Bush Institute’s Freedom Collection, and he spoke to an audience of more than 2,500 at McFarlin Auditorium during a special Hart Global Leaders lecture. He also was awarded an honorary doctorate from SMU.
The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. on July 1, 2015, at Moody Coliseum on SMU’s campus. Ticket prices are $25, $65 and $125.
A limited number of complimentary tickets are available to current SMU students with a valid SMU ID (one ticket per ID) on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be distributed the week of June 15. Students will be notified by email and at smu.edu/dalailama.
