Interdisciplinary Dialogue

Free event on March 25, 2019

This spring's interdisciplinary dialogue, "Losing Ground: Young Adults in a Hard-Hearted Society," will focus on conversations with young adults regarding their strategies and motivations to change oppressive public policies. Speakers include Dr. Evelyn L. Parker, Susanna Wesley Centennial Professor of Practical Theology and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Perkins School of Theology, and Ms. Emma Chalott Barron from the North Texas Dream Team. Student activists from Irma L. Rangel Young Women's Leadership School (Dallas ISD) will also share their perspectives on the challenges they face.

LOCATION AND PARKING

The Center for the Study of Latino/a Christianity and Religions conducts its programming at Perkins School of Theology on the campus of Southern Methodist University. This event will take place in the Great Hall inside Prothro Hall, located at 5901 Bishop Blvd., Dallas, TX 75275. Parking will be available on campus and a parking permit will be emailed prior to the event.
