Perkins Professor to Examine ‘Spirits, Spirits & Spirit’ at Houston Theology on Tap
A look at “Spirits, Spirits & Spirit: Exploring ghosts, goblins, and the spiritual realm” is the focus of Theology on Tap, a gathering for Houston-area young adults, set for Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kindred, 2515 Waugh Drive, Houston 77006.
HOUSTON – A look at “Spirits, Spirits & Spirit: Exploring ghosts, goblins, and the spiritual realm” is the focus of Theology on Tap, a gathering for Houston-area young adults, set for Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kindred, 2515 Waugh Drive, Houston 77006.
Sponsored by Perkins School of Theology-SMU and its hybrid Houston-Galveston Extension Program, the featured speaker will be Perkins professor Dr. William J. Abraham, Albert Cook Outler Professor of Wesley Studies.
During the gathering, which will include a time for questions, conversation and community building, Dr. Abraham will explore these seasonally themed questions: From the haunting ‘heebie-jeebies’ to the Holy Spirit, how do we know what's really out there? Is there a spiritual realm we can't see? Angels? Ghosts? What is that world like? How do we know?
There is no cost for the event, although donations will be accepted. People of all perspectives and beliefs are welcome.
