Andrew Keck assumes new position as Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives
Perkins School of Theology has named Andrew Keck, former director of library services at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., as executive director of strategic initiatives. In the newly created position, Keck will work closely with Dean Craig C. Hill to provide leadership and management for school-wide projects and priorities.

Dean Hill said, “This role requires someone with an exceptionally wide range of competencies along with a deep knowledge of theological education and significant experience in project management and grant writing. Andy Keck is one of only a handful of people I know who is fully qualified to do this important job well. He is going to be a wonderful asset to Perkins.”
Keck holds a master of theological studies degree from Boston University’s School of Theology and a master of library science degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
Before becoming director of Luther Seminary’s library in 2012, he worked for 13 years in the library at Duke University Divinity School.
For the last three years at Luther Seminary, he also held the position of director of institutional effectiveness.
At Perkins, his role will involve strategizing with the dean and other senior administrators on institutional planning, policy, program development, and problem resolution. He will also help ensure that implementation plans are effectively developed, communicated, managed, and executed.
Areas of special emphasis will include church relations, student discernment related to deacon ministries, preparation of accreditation reports and visits, assisting in development of grant proposals, and helping Dean Hill with development initiatives.
