Interfaith Dialogue Includes Two Perkins Faculty Members

Two members of the Perkins School of Theology faculty are taking part in an upcoming panel discussion on the challenges of gender and faith in North Texas.

Dr. Robert Hunt, Professor of Christian Mission and Inter-religious Relations at Perkins, will moderate “Keeping the Faith: An Interfaith Dialogue on Women and Religion in North Texas,” scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Royal Lane Baptist Church (6707 Royal Lane, Dallas, TX 75230.)

Other panelists include:

• Rev. Dr. Isabel Docampo, Professor of Supervised Ministry and Associate Director of the Intern Program at Perkins;
• Rabbi Nancy Kasten, community educator and volunteer;
• Beth Keenan of the Karma Thegsum Choling Dallas;
• Pravrajika Brahmaprana, resident minister of the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of North Texas; and
• Dina Malki, journalist

Co-hosts of the event are Multicultural Alliance, Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation, Daughters of Abraham, Thanks-Giving Foundation’s Interfaith Council, Royal Lane Baptist Church and the Dallas Public Library.
